Some new gouache paintings. The paintings are 4 " x 4" square, and are sealed with a UV protective, satin varnish. The frames are hand constructed and painted. I am having trouble parting with these two little guys...

Studio

OK, time for an update. After many, many wonderfully inventive recipes lost to forgetfullness, and countless people trying to encourage me to write them down, I have been inspired. Over the last few months, I have been working on a series of food illustrations and my main characters are the ingredients. And with these, I've created a set of 15 recipe cards that come in a sturdy little pocket for easy storage. There are 5 different designs in this set, and there is space for you to write your ingredients, method and notes. You can use the designs to organize you recipes by having main dishes, sauces, deserts, drinks and sides, according to the corresponding card design. The set is for sale at my etsy shop. I can' wait to use these cards myself so that I never lose an award winning recipe again!!!

Back to School Time

It's that time of year again. Where does the summer always seem to go? I created this illustration as a tribute to my two furry gray pals who always seem to sit right on the book that I am about to read. Here is an archival print printed on Arches Museum Quality Digital Art and Photo Paper, and a set of adorable book plates for all of your favorite books.

Monster Prints- A Collaborative Series with Cutesy but not Cutesy

Recently I finished working on a series of illustrations that was a collaboration with my sister, owner of Cutesy but not Cutesy. Her adorable monster plushies made the perfect subjects for this series of illustrations. Please visit her online shop to see more of these guys in their 3D furry form. This series includes greeting cards, and archival giclee prints, which will be available in my shop for purchase.

Sweet Daisy Cupcake Notecards and Gift Tags

Welcome to Wind Up Bird Studios! I am currently working on a new series of illustrations, but wanted to feature two of my favorite items, in the meantime. Available in my etsy shop, are these adorable Daisy Cupcake notecards, and matching gift tags. The tags are adorned with a touch of sparkle and have a ribbon for tying to packages, or for using as unique place cards. They are perfect for a summer party, or just to send to a friend!

I can't wait to post my new designs. Stay tuned...
